Just a quick one today! The add-on pins that are up for unlock in the surveys/pre-order store all have sketches now! Those that had the super rough sketches before now have more refined ones, and the completely blank ones have equally refined sketches for the most part- all except the cockatrice, since I left that one for last and my arm is kinda dying at the moment haha. So I will probably have to do a LOT of touching up to it. But overall I'm happy with these.

Enough add-ons have been gotten via survey that I was able to adjust down the minimum order number for many of these designs! A lot of them range from nearly halfway there to over halfway there, so consider giving them a look. I think my favorite might be the african wild dog. I hadn't drawn one since high school and had fully forgotten how blocky they are other than their big ol radar dish ears.

It's time to pick your pins y'all! I'm excited to see what ones turn out to be the most popular. I've been spending a lot of time on the final production sheets to make sure everything can get submitted as soon as possible. We ended up with 39 different pins that I have to go through and make sure everything is absolutely ready for. That's crazy! Thank you all for helping me put enamel pins in to the rotation of creative stuff I get to do.

The pre-order store is open for those of you who missed out on the campaign! There's some new stuff up in there that you can help unlock if you're so inclined, so it's worth taking a look.

  • I decided to release the Domestic Dog pin set, as well as the Brown Chickens and Black Chickens. They can be selected as a pin set on your survey!
  • There were a few stretch goals that were not unlocked! Those are now available as individual add-ons to give them a second chance. If enough are ordered they will become available! These include the Dark Coyote, Orange Shark, White Possum, and White Lion.
  • 2 designs are available as a special finish of sticker! Both the White Chicken and Albino Gator can be unlocked as gold lined stickers. If you wanted one of those but couldn't afford a pin they're a cheaper option!

New pin sets up for unlock!

There are a bunch of new pin ideas that I was asked for or really wanted to do but knew wouldn't work out in the regular campaign! They can be add-ons for your surveys for combined shipping or purchased in the pre-order store if you'd like them to ship separate. They all have different ordering goals based on the size and complexity they are likely to require. Not all of them have sketches at the time of this posting, but that will change soon enough, I just didn't want to delay surveys for them. These include:

Carrion Baggage: Second Bite launches soon!

Throughout Gnawesome Predators and all of February I've been chugging away at preparing my next campaign. It will be launching on March 2nd which is not that far away! If you have any interest in practical plush or novelty bags that are big enough to use as a daily wear item you're likely to find something you like there. Or if you'd rather get a plush keychain of some meats those will be available too. If you become a reserve backer you will get a free plush keychain with your pledge reward!



Other Pin Projects - TRIBUTES and Pin Quest!

If bags and plush aren't your thing I'm working on some other stuff that I'm very excited for!  I was invited to participate in an event called TRIBUTES which is all about showing love to games the creators enjoy. Many of us are going the nostalgic route, including me. Mine will be about a bear and bird you could say were instrumental to my childhood. Yes, that was awful, please let me get it out of my system now. Jiggy Jam will be going live in November! You'll be able to find the rest of TRIBUTES here once the page is working, but I don't believe it is currently. I don't do a lot of fan stuff, so I'm excited to give it a go!



Sooner than Jiggy Jam will be a very self indulgent project: A Fancier's Guide to Cockatrices! I'll be taking real chicken breeds and combining them with real snake species, then using the temperaments, behaviors, or appearances to match them up. One made of parts I'm sure most of you are familiar with is a silkie chicken + ball python to make the seemingly perfect pet cockatrice! There will be bits of lore based on their real life counterparts too. If that sounds up your alley please give it a look!

The Final Hours

Pintopia is entering the last 48 hours! That means campaign exclusives (stickers, separate meat magnets) are about to go away. We're also down to our last chance to unlock the final extended stretch goals to add all the pin variants and the domestic dog!

Here's where we're at:

  • The orca, emerald tree boa, and gryphon remain unlocked!
  • Funding has backslid. We've lost orange shark and dark coyote.
  • We're still close enough that I do plan to produce the golden bear despite us being a bit under!

Extras will be available in my shop after the campaign is fulfilled, but I will be basing my stock numbers on the popularity of each pin among backers, so some of them might not have a ton of leftover pins. Backing remains the best way to guarantee you get the pin you want- especially for the higher tier variants!

What's next?

With Pintopia winding down and Lunar New Year approaching for my manufacturers I'm about to be focusing on getting ready for Carrion Baggage: Second Bite since it launches in less than a month! Return backers will be getting a mini pin, and reserve backers will be getting a free plush keychain. If you have any interest in interesting bags with tons of space you might like what I have! You'll probably recognize some familiar meat designs among them.



I'm absolutely exhausted, we got home at around 5am this morning after a work week at a con, and I have a ton of work to catch up on. I look forward to finally bringing these pins to life for y'all and am sorry to not have oodles to say but even if we don't make those final stretch goals I am still beyond grateful for all the support you've shown and how far we've gotten- we're well beyond anything I would have imagined!

I didn't expect to finish these so soon but insomnia can turn in to some pretty crazy periods of art production, so here's the final art for these bonus pins! Currently the tree boa, gryphon, and orca can all be considered unlocked and will be available choices. The dog will be unlocked if we manage to hit our very few remaining stretch goals! I haven't gotten exact sizes determined on these yet, but they will be put up on the main campaign page once I've got em!

Which is your favorite? I am partial to the emerald tree boa. It was hard to do but I love how goofy it is without even really being much of an exaggeration.

We are now less than a month away from the launch of Carrion Baggage: Second Bite!

Reserve backers will get a free plush keychain of their choice with their pledge rewards, so if you know you want to back you might want to consider that! I'm really excited to finally get these designs in to production soon. If you didn't know, many of the mini meat magnets directly match bags from the Carrion Baggage line!

The people have spoken!

The results:

  1. Ring tailed gryphon
  2. Orca
  3. Emerald Tree Boa
  4. Domestic Dog
  5. Domestic Cat

Right now as it stands I think I can squeeze in 3 additional designs for sure. If a 4th one is added depends on how much they end up costing since the orca has double the magnets and the gryphon is going to be pretty large like the other winged pins. I'll know for sure when I've finalized the art and discussed it with my manufacturer. As it stands right now you can fully expect the Gryphon, Orca, and Emerald Tree Boa to be available pins choices!

I am up to my neck in getting ready for AnthroExpo right now so I have not gotten to finish the art. So here's some sketch previews! I don't want to share the whole thing since a lot could still change between these and final linework/color, but they give you a good idea of where these critters are going. Orcas are so hard to draw wait til you see what a lil vienna sausage mermaid it turned out to be

As far as stretch goal progress goes, we've unlocked all the way up through Orange Shark! Sort of!! We keep hitting that goal and then losing some funding, but we're staying pretty consistently in the vicinity of it, and Golden Bear has remained firmly unlocked for some time. That leaves us with only 4 stretch goals to go. That is TRULY AMAZING. But we're not there yet! We're just CLOSE. Really y'all thank you so much for supporting my work like this. It means a lot to know folks out there resonate enough with my art to help me get it out there in different forms.
